Marlon De Silva is a writer, director, producer, editor, and cinematographer.
He is also a NBC/Universal Film and Music Executive.
He was born and raised in Hollywood, CA. Both of his parents are from
Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has a long history in the entertainment industry within
film, theater, television, music, and multi-media.
In 2021, Marlon was 1 of 35 selected nationwide for The Academy of Motion
Pictures Arts and Sciences; Academy Gold Rising Program Production
Track—with an emphasis in Film Editing. He was selected as the student
speaker for the closing ceremony and won a scholarship from the program.
Through The Academy he was also 1 of 15 selected for the 2022 Diverse
Reader Workshop—a program through the Nicholls Fellowship engaging in
storytelling and script development in the film industry.
